Updated Everyday Make Up Routine - Face

1. Foundation

I use my beloved Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer every time I wear make up now. I either use it on top of the Becca Priming Filter, alone, or mixed in with it. I like a sheer foundation look just to hide some of the red and blotchy-ness in my cheeks and on my nose. I have been blessed with pretty nice skin, and covering it up with a heavy, full coverage foundation just makes it look worse than without any make up at all.

**Of course, if you enjoy a full coverage foundation, rock it. This is only my opinion based on my skin.**

I can get away with using just a little bit of this and feel like my skin looks a million times better than it did before. I also just prefer a dewy, glowy look and I think that tinted moisturizers can achieve this better than any other kind of foundation.

I do also really enjoy the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation. They just recently re-did the packaging, so I'm not sure if they also changed the formula, but it is a great foundation that looks like your skin when it is on. Also, behind the Fenty Foundation, it is one of the best matching foundations.

2. Blush

I am obsessed with the Glossier Cloud Paint blushes. I have never found anything that works like this does. I use the color Dusk and it is a perfect combination of a bronzy, blush color. I can put it all over my face and look like I just spent the day in the sun, but didn't get burnt.

I have yet to find a color or a formula similar to this, so if you know of anything, please let me know because I am almost out. I am wanting to try the Colourpop blush sticks that they just released.

3. Setting Powder

I have had this same setting powder for years now and I cannot seem to use it up. I really want to try the Fenty blotting powder but I just cannot justify it because I still have so much of my Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder left. This was one of the first "cult" products to really blow up when the make up community blew up three-ish years ago. I remember being so excited to buy it because Manny MUA and Patrick Star were using it. They have since moved on from the product, but I am still using the same package I first bought two years ago.

I use this to dab on under my eyes, the one area that seems to crease the most. I do this after I use the Cloud Paint because the cloud paint is a liquid and you do not want to put powder before liquid. It will cause the powder to ball up and come right off, along with the liquid.

4. Highlight

I am currently using my Colourpop Strobe Globe in Luster Dust. I believe that these have been discontinued and I'm not sure why, but I couldn't find them on the Colourpop site.

I drown myself in highlight daily. I put it on my cheekbones, temples, nose, chin, the inner corner of my eyes, and my browbone. Do I probably wear too much? Yea. Am I going to stop? Absolutely not.

5. Setting Spray

To finish off the look I use Mario Badescu Setting Spray and MAC Fix+ and soak myself in it. It helps to melt all of the different powders and creams and foundations together to help your skin look more like skin. I really enjoy the Mario Badescu for the scent and the overall luxurious feeling I get when I spray myself with it.

What are your go to make up products? Holy grails? Things you wish you hadn't bought? Let me know in the comments section!!
