What Happened: June 2019

So much happened this month, I don’t even know where to begin.

Work has been crazy to say the least. I’ve learned so much about phones and how to fix them (and even broke one on accident). I’ve been loving getting to know the Venice area and I have so many ideas for photo shoots, I just have to grow the balls to take pictures of myself by myself in public. That is going to be a hard thing for me to do, especially because some of the cute spots I’ve found are right next to a major highway. But, that is something I really want to get over and learn to not care what people think about me or what I’m doing.

But the most exciting thing that happened this month, by far, was the Cheney Brothers Food Service show in Fort Lauderdale. When I say it was the best three days of my life, I really mean it was the best three days of my life. To read all about it check out this blog post. Especially if you love food. Because it was amazing. I’m so bummed I lost all my pictures from the actual event.

June was also my mom’s birth month. We celebrated her birthday by going to an Italian restaurant by my house, but we also got her tickets to see Sebastian Maniscalco in November. If you don’t know who he is, watch his Netflix specials, he is hilarious (especially if you are Italian or from the NY/Jersey area. My mom loves him because of how relatable he is to her and how she grew up, so I think she is really excited to see him live in a couple months. Have you seen any of his work? If you have, leave a comment below and let me know what you think.

Another big thing that happened this month, is that I finally started my first novel. I have no idea how long it is going to take to finish, but I have finally started and I think that’s all that matters right now. I am excited to see where the story takes me and where it ends up. I plan on posting snippets of it here and there on the blog, so be on the lookout because I will want opinions and ideas. It’s going to be a lot to deal with because it will be based on real events in my life and I think it is going to be a way for me to heal and reflect on things that have happened in my life in a way that I haven’t been able to in the past.

But, to be honest, I spent most of the month waiting for Stranger Things 3 to come out. Now that it’s July 5th, how much of Stranger Things have you watched? I cannot wait to binge watch the entire thing in like 2 days. In fact, I think I’m going to end this post here and go watch it.

Let me know what happened to you this month!
